| Skills / experience relevant to this role | I have a 10-plus career in product development across various industries, from medical devices via FMCG to Drug delivery. I have a Chemical sciences degree and a LCA beginner certificate I have performed some sales work and proposal generation and led workstreams and projects within this. I have worked with ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 standards. Areas covered: Formulation Chemical safety (food and Biocompatibility) Tech landscaping and road mapping. NPD Sustianbilibilty Prototyping V & V and more Specific examples within sustainability and plastics include: · I performed a desk-based tech review into a new type of sustainable materials for confectionary in the FMCG space to expand into new markets. This involved exploring the alternative protein space to create a new product with challenging user requirements. · Led tech feasibility for enhancing a renal dialysis machine's sustainability (water recovery). This included first-principles chemistry analysis, planning and executing wet chemistry tests, collaborating with external labs, conducting technical analysis in Excel, and delivering a report to the client. I was the SME expert for chemical recycling and plastic packaging, reviewing markets and identifying trends. I have advised many projects on how to move towards new, more sustainable products. I Wrote and presented internal and external educational articles/presentations/webinars. I regularly write articles and insights on my LinkedIn page. The concept generation of a new baby soother using moldable materials. I took on developing one of the workstreams and took an idea generated in the brainstorm to a proof-of-concept deliverable. This occurred within two months. Was the workstream leader (materials and testing) for a new type of IVD drug delivery test rig. Conducting user requirements, Document gap analysis, materials selection (Partly using Granta selector) and working with the project leader on the long-term timeline and strategy to implement into the more comprehensive project. |
