Working alongside our client, an established injection moulding manufacturer, we are looking for a skilled Injection Moulding Setter to join their team at an exciting time of growth for the business.

Company overview

  • As an Injection Moulding Setter you will be responsible for the setting and operating of moulding machines and assisting in completing orders on time and at the correct quality and cost
  • The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge and experience working within an injection moulding manufacturing environment, alongside operating and setting injection moulding machinery the successful candidate will be required to get involved in fabricating, assembly and material handling as required

Role responsibilities

  • In the role of Injection Moulding Setter you will provide tool change support and maintenance cover for key machines
  • As Injection Moulding Setter you will ensure mould changes are carried out to a high standard in line with manufacturing specifications in a timely manner
  • Working closely with the leadership team to improve reliability and productivity of machines and equipment
  • Carrying out planned and low level maintenance work in a safe and timely manner
  • Assisting and supporting in the carrying out of production improvement projects
  • Operate and monitor machinery, ensuring optimal performance and safety
  • Fabricate components according to specifications using tools and equipment
  • Assemble parts and products with precision, adhering to quality control standards
  • Handle materials safely, following all health and safety regulations
  • Utilise SolidWorks for design modifications and improvements as necessary
  • Work with logic controllers to troubleshoot operational issues
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace in the warehouse environment

Qualifications/experience required

  • Previous experience within injection moulding manufacturing
  • Excellent problem solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting machinery issues
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings
  • Experience with tooling, milling and other fabrication processes is advantageous
  • Knowledge of material handling techniques and safety protocols
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Basic level of Numeracy and Literacy is required
  • Good communication skills
