Our client, an established injection moulding manufacturer, has retained our services to search for an experienced Injection Moulding Technician to join their team.

  • This opportunity will suit an Injection Moulding Technician who is looking to continue their development and further their career within the industry

Role responsibilities

  • The successful injection moulding technician candidate will carry out tool changes effectively and safely in the injection moulding areas of the business
  • As injection moulding setter it is your responsibility to ensure injection moulding processes can achieve targeted scrap and efficiency levels, on new and existing products
  • To be able to work well within the technical injection moulding setting, processing & optimisation team
  • As injection moulding setter you will be required to carry out tool and material trials
  • Basic machine maintenance and trouble shooting
  • To drive continuous improvements ensuring product quality is maintained & good working practices are adhered to
  • To liaise with all members of the department to ensure operations run smoothly
  • Ensuring that key performance indicators on tool changing are achieved
  • To ensure Health & Safety rules are maintained with your own work area and demonstrate a duty of care to colleagues, visitors, contractors or anyone else on site

Qualifications/experience required

  • Injection moulding setting experience
  • Recognised injection moulding qualification (preferable)
  • Knowledge of materials such as PC, ABS, PA, PP, TPE etc
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Ability to troubleshoot
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, crane etc.)
  • Self-motivated individual with a willingness to achieve KPI targets
