Our client, an established injection moulding manufacturer, has retained our services to search for a Maintenance Engineer to join their team.

Company overview

  • As a Maintenance Engineer, you will perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on plant equipment including injection moulding machinery and associated ancillary equipment, ensuring continuity of production, consistent with the company’s goals and needs
  • You will have strong mechanical, electrical and robotics troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work independently and problem solve
  • Candidates from any manufacturing industry will be considered but MUST have good electro-mechanical maintenance skills with proven experience working with hydraulics & pneumatics. 

Role responsibilities

  • Conduct routine and emergency maintenance on injection moulding machinery
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults on injection moulding machines and all ancillary equipment such as conveyors, Temperature control units, material loaders, sensos and vision systems
  • Maintain and repair robotic systems and assembly line equipment to ensure smooth operations
  • Collaborate with other engineers and technicians to resolve complex issues
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs

Qualifications/experience required

  • Proven experience in maintaining primary manufacturing machinery and jigs & fixtures. Knowledge of automation & injection moulding machinery would be beneficial but not essential as training can be approved
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and robotics troubleshooting skills
  • Relevant qualifications in engineering or a related field
  • Experience with robotic systems, automation technology, and assembly lines
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work nights and adapt to changing priorities
