Working alongside our client, an established injection moulding manufacturer that specializes in the design and manufacture of custom moulds and precision moulded components, we are looking for a Process Engineer to join their team.

Role responsibilities
As Process Engineer you will optimise and deliver stable moulding parameters across the site
In the role of Process Engineer you will support NPI introducing flawless launch programs and platforms
The successful Process Engineer will Implement and oversee SMED activities across the site
Develop and Implement Parameter / Process control records whilst updating policies
Ensure all aspects of 5S (Housekeeping) & Health & Safety are adhered to during the tool change cycle
Analysing costs and developing improvement plans
Optimise robot and ancillary equipment maximising output and reducing operating costs
Develop and implement standard setting sheets across the site
Develop and implement training needs for technical staff including machine setters and engineers
Develop and implement TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) on both moulding tools, robots and other ancillary equipment
Actively work to reduce scrap, downtime and cycle times across the site
Run tool trials and tool trial processing when required
Support and propose CAPEX requirements across the UK
Support the business with planning, budgeting and resource allocation for process improvements
Communicate to stakeholders about process improvements and the development of new technology
People management – set goals for you team, provide training, guidance and support are required
Absence management – sickness and absence monitoring, return to work and holiday form completion
Performance management – providing timely and appropriate feedback to individuals on their performance through formal and informal appraisal, involvement in Disciplinary and Grievance as required

Qualifications/experience required
Good engineering qualifications, ideally HNC qualified minimum within an Engineering discipline
Good knowledge of APQP, PPAP, SPC, FMEA, Control Plans (Core Tools)
Demonstrable experience of implementing Lean principles and methodologies
In depth knowledge of some of the following Lean tools such as 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Taguchi, Bottle neck analysis, Gemba, Kanban, JIT, OEE, PDCA, Poka-Yoke, SMED or Root cause analysis
Cost analysis knowledge
Experience in change management projects
Capable of leading a diverse team of key stakeholders
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Project, Visio, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Process thinker with exceptional communication, problem solving and analytical skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to influence at all levels
Practical hands-on approach to Lean implementation
