Role responsibilities
- As Lead Engineer you will complete daily, weekly, monthly and annual PPM schedule and OEM servicing
- In the role of Lead Engineer, you will provide experience and assistance in the development of the new plant, equipment and procedures
- The successful Lead Engineer candidate will diagnose and fix problems with machinery and equipment within the manufacturing plant
- Work with Production Supervisors / Machine Operators for machine set ups and changeovers
- Advise on Safe Operating Procedures when completing tasks
- Carry out other reasonable requests made by the line manager to support departmental or company objectives
- Provide any necessary support and assistance when contractors are onsite
- Complete relevant paperwork to permit work for internal or external employees
- Ensure compliance with the company’s policies including Health & Safety
- Ensure work is carried out to the set standard and housekeeping is adhered to

Qualifications/experience required
- Relevant Electrical & Mechanical Engineering Qualifications
- Experience working within a plastics manufacturing environment
- Adept at using Microsoft Word & Excel packages
- Methodical approach to solving problems
- Ability to work on own initiative but understand the level of responsibility within the team
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to prioritise work and manage a number of tasks concurrently
- Good time management skills
- Valid driving licence
