Role responsibilities
- As Mould Process Engineer you will be responsible for preparing tools for first use upon receipt from the toolmaker.
- Development of moulding process to achieve standard processing settings.
- Performing tool changes and setting machines for production runs.
- Adjust machine settings, including temperature, pressure, and cycle times, to ensure optimal performance and product quality.
- Be able to troubleshoot process issues to maintain quality standards.
- Programming/setting of injection mould machine robots.
- Perform in-production quality checks to maintain first-off approval standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on injection moulding equipment to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Perform mould changes, including cleaning, assembly, and validation, while adhering to safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
- Monitor production processes, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to prevent defects and ensure consistent product quality.
- Collaborate with production team members and engineers to optimize production efficiency, resolve technical problems, and meet production targets.
- Make informed decisions regarding production-related issues.
- Ensure all relevant data is captured and entered onto appropriate systems (e.g. scrap, production outputs, tooling problems, downtime, material reconciliation, quality issues etc).
- To be pro-active and assist with all aspects of housekeeping
- Ensure that all H&S regulations are followed at all times.
- Work on planned preventive maintenance (PPM) Schedules.

Qualifications/experience required
- Industry recognized injection moulding qualifications
- Previous mould setting and optimization experience within injection moulding is ESSENTIAL
- Experience of process optimization and troubleshooting
- Good problem solving skills
- Strong communication skills
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and well as part of a team
