In this role you will be responsible for the safety and quality of our products through various procedures and inspections, implementation of quality control measures and identifying areas for improvement.

You will collaborate with cross functional teams to address quality issues, drive continuous improvements and contribute to manufacturing components that will exceed customer expectations.

Role responsibilities

• Maintain and develop QMS inline with ISO9001 requirements
• Engage in NPI activities
• Ensure compliance to customer specifications
• Conduct process and product audits periodically
• Manage and resolve customer, supplier and internal non-conformances
• Generate process-related SOPs, quality alerts PFMEA's, control plans etc.
• Support with product trials
• Develop and report on COPQ within the business
• Customer facing
• Oversee internal / external customer engineering changes
• Maintain buisness KPI's
• Supervise and lead a team of 3 quality inspectors
• Ability to adapt within the business
• Issue PPAP and relevant documentation as and when required

Qualifications/experience required

• 5 years plus experience as a Quality engineer within a Plastic injection moulding company
• Working knowledge of core quality tools including FMEA, APQP, SPC, MSA, & PPAP
• An ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Understanding of problem-solving tools
• Commercial awareness
• Experience customer-facing role previously
• Microsoft Office / Excel
• Sage accounts / Sage Manufacturing
• Supervisory experience
• IMDS experience
• CMM / Faro arm experience (Not essential as can get external training for the right candidate)
• Ability / Experience using Polyworks (Not essential as can get external training for the right candidate)
• Automotive experience with all PPAP documentation
