Working alongside our client, an established injection moulding manufacturer, we are looking for a Quality Control Inspector to join their successful team.

- As a Quality Control Inspector you will be responsible for product quality control & assurance through complete and accurate inspection, testing and correct documentation associated with; Production, Inspection, protocol samples and first piece samples, Control plans & Visual Aid, PSS inspection sheets
- Successful candidates will have proven experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment with a minimum 2 years working in a quality related field. Candidates will have strong communication & problem solving skills
Role responsibilities
- Inspect production for quality according to the Product Specification Sheets (PSS) or marked up drawing and ensures parts meet specifications, including Toolroom and Assembly parts. Managing of last off samples
- Inspect urgent rubber / compression parts if Unit 8 Inspector is absent
- Create and update Visual Aids, PSS inspection sheets (Production Job Packs)
- Part of the Good-inwards Inspection Team
- Investigate internal non-conformities with manufacturing and other quality personnel to identify root causes and corrective actions
- Communicate with previous and following shift personnel to alert for quality and production related issues
- Assure that all non-conforming materials are properly identified, isolated within a lockable location & recorded
- Assist in training production personnel as well as enhancing their overall knowledge of Attribute Inspection & Recording and understanding the use of all measure/test equipment & Recording Dimensional results. Working with operating staff to establish standards, systems and procedures
- Complete any other tasks reasonably requested by your line manager or the management team

Qualifications/experience required
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a quality related field
- Experience in working in a Manufacturing / Engineering environment, preferably in the Aerospace sectors but all sectors will be considered
- Experience in metrology/precision measurement
- Working knowledge of SPC/SQC and statistical sampling. Familiarity with ISO 9001 & AS9100, EFQM or similar quality systems
- Working knowledge of computer hardware/software applications including word processing and Excel, experience of using statistical software (e.g. Minitab) is desirable
- HND/HNC or degree qualification is desirable
- Written Communication skills: able to write clearly and effectively, present ideas, document activities, and read and interpret information
- Analytical Problems Solving: Able to use a systematic approach in solving problems through analysis and evaluation of alternate solutions; use logic, maths, or other problem solving tools in data analysis or in generating solutions
- Physical dexterity to use intricate measuring equipment and visual acuity to detect small defects
