Working alongside our client, a leading supplier of ancillary equipment within the plastics industry, we are looking for an experienced Sales Manager to join their growing team to cover South Eastern territories.

Company overview

  • Candidates MUST HAVE experience and knowledge of ancillary products, materials handling or automation equipment used within plastics manufacturing environments
  • This position will suit a highly motivated and driven technical sales / BD professional with demonstrable experience working within the plastics industry
  • This is a fantastic opportunity for a proven Technical Sales or Business Development professional with strong sales engineering or sales management to join a forward thinking company as they continue to grow their Sales team

Role responsibilities

  • As Area Sales Manager you will be responsible for technical product sales dealing with business development, key account management and processing the front end commercial projects and RFQ’s
  • The successful Area Sales Manager candidate will be responsible for managing key accounts and generating new business in the South East of the UK
  • In the role of Area Sales Manager you will represent the company at Trade Shows and Industry events
  • Conducting regular customer visits both with existing customers and prospective new business leads
  • Identifying and generating new business opportunities
  • Driving social media and marketing in promoting company product range and services
  • Maintain up to date appreciation of market trends and competitors
  • Assisting in the launch of new products and services
  • Effectively build strong business relationships with new and existing customers

Qualifications/experience required

  • Candidates MUST HAVE commercial experience within the plastics industry
  • Technical knowledge and understanding of ancillary equipment used within plastics manufacturing
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage own diary
  • Negotiation skills
  • Experience using CRM systems
  • Full UK Driving Licence
