A vacancy has arisen for a Toolmaker to produce mould tools as required from drawings, for use in the manufacture of products, for customers in the UK and overseas in line with the Company’s business plan.

Role responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce tools for moulding machines in response to works orders
- Liaise with the purchasing team to maintain adequate stock levels of materials and equipment
- Liaise with the Moulding Technicians to maintain the mould tools to keep in good working order, and schedule tool trials
- Keep stock of machine tooling
- Assist other technical staff with processes to obtain manufactured products
- Maintain the tool room machines to good working order, and advise the management team of any machine breakages a.s.a.p.
- Be aware of and act upon all relevant Health & Safety guidelines
- Assist in other departments as and when necessary

- Salary: £35-£40k, depending on experience

Qualifications/experience required
Key Skills & Experience:
- Recognised toolmaking apprenticeship
- 5+ years in a Toolmaking role
- Proficiency in CAD / Solidworks / Visi software
- Experience with CNC & non-CNC equipment, as well as EDM and surface grinders is essential
- Organised approach to workload, with good prioritisation skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and help out others where necessary
- Willing to undertake further training to develop skills
