DETAILS OF PRODUCT RANGE

Antimicrobial additives supplied by BioCote® can be integrated into any polymer material during the manufacturing process to provide lasting and effective protection against microbes without affecting the final look and functionality of the material.

Working 24/7 and lasting for the expected lifetime of a material, BioCote® technology helps to keep materials and products cleaner and fresher for longer by preventing staining, bad odours, and material degradation. For some products, this will mean extending their usable lifetime past that of an unprotected one, creating additional sustainability within that product range.

An additive will encompass a specific antimicrobial active, such as silver, and can be formulated into a concentrated powder, liquid suspension or masterbatch pellet depending on the type of plastic, the manufacturing process employed and the desired end-use of your product.

To ensure the additives we supply meet our customers' high expectations at all times, we apply stringent quality control parameters and test protocols prior to shipping.

To verify the antimicrobial performance of BioCote® protected products, we carry out stringent validation testing before our partners’ products go to market to ensure they deliver the required levels of antimicrobial performance associated with the BioCote® trademark.

Working with an independent testing partner, we commission antimicrobial testing to measure the level of performance an antimicrobial product exhibits. The testing quantifies the ability of a product to eliminate microbes, which guides marketing claims about a product’s performance and backs up existing claims for treated articles.
