SUMMARY OF BUSINESS ACTIVITIES

Our state-of-the-art UK operation is supported by additional technical facilities spanning 12 countries. Tooling can be manufactured within our Group and proven in-house. We have 25 moulding machines up to 3200 tonnes, including large tonnage Mucell (for ‘lightweighting’) and 2k machines.

DETAILS OF MACHINE RANGE

We have 25 modern Injection Moulding Machines between 220 to 3200 tonnes locking force. These including a number of dedicated Mucell machines.

The Mucell process produces a micro-cellular foam structure within the walls of a product. As well as reducing component weight by up to 30%, the process produces an excellent surface finish. This makes it ideal for highly visible ‘A’ surfaces, or components that are to have a decorative finish such as paint or chrome applied.

Machines can be supported by automated or semi-automated assembly systems designed and implemented by our development team.

Other specialities include:

• 2k moulding, including large complex components
• The use of recycled carbon fibre in structural components that require dimensional stability and strength
• Production of very large components such as battery cases

We have traditionally supplied the Automotive sector and any other sectors requiring a high level of development and process expertise.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES PROVIDED

TOOLING MANUFACTURE
Our core background is in tool design and manufacture (within our Group), with a number of facilities in Europe and Asia. Modifications and part approval (PPAP etc.) can take place at our UK site. Specialities include multi-gate tooling, e.g., for thin-walled products. We also offer 3-D printing (sintering) of large and complex tooling for the purposes of cooling optimisation.

POST MOULD FINISHES
Post mould decorative finishes including painting and chroming are available. Painting can be for interior or exterior applications where several coats are required. Some technical coatings can be a viable alternative to chroming.

PROFESSIONAL ACCREDITATIONS

ISO 9001: 2015, IATF 16949, ISO 14001 and also supplier accreditations such as JLR-Q.

Once injection mould tools have been manufactured at one of our own facilities, design changes, tooling modifications and full part approval (PPAP etc.) can take place at our UK site.
