Flitetec is a leading manufacturer of vacuum formed aircraft & transportation thermoplastic components and assemblies. We hold extensive stocks of aircraft grade sheet material & manufacture our tooling inhouse enabling us to offer lead times of 1 -2 weeks.
DETAILS OF MACHINE RANGE
Machine Capacity:
3 off Giess and Illig vacuum forming machines up to 1.5m x 1.5m inhouse and upto 3m x 3m with our preffered partner, 3 off 5 axis multi bed routing machines, bonding and assembly.
Wall Thickness:
Experieced in thin wall and thick wall forming upto 6mm and to a draw depth of 0.5m
SPECIALIST AREAS
Flitetec specialise in the manufacture of aviation, defence and transportation grade vacuum formed components. Our uniquein house low cost tooling philosophy enables us to competatively manufacture small batches from 1 off to larger batches of 10,000+ off. We also manufacture windows, lenses, light covers from acrylic, plexiglass and perspex.
DEVELOPMENT FACILITIES
Flitetec specialise in reverse engineering existing components.We have in house digitising and 3D scanning capability supported by SolidWorks and CATIA Cad/Cam with 35 years of engineering experience. Flitetec design and manufacture all its vacuum forming tools and machine fixtures in house and can offer lead times of 1 to 2 weeks for new components.
We also make to print and release on a C of C to the customer drawing.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES PROVIDED
Flitetec also stock and distribute Lexan polycarbonate material by the sheet or bespoke blank sizes to customer requirements.
Flitetec has an in house screen printing capability, enabling it to supply customers with vacuum formed and profiled components with besoke print designs. Flitetec also bond and assemble complete finished units
