Micro Systems are widely acknowledged as one of the most technically advanced medical mould making facilities in Europe. We specialise in the design, manufacture and validation of ultra-precision medical moulds and micro moulds for the medical, pharmaceutical and ophthalmic markets.
Micro Systems utilizes various top-of-the-range EDM, WEDM, HSM and Grinding machines to manufacture ultra-precision injection moulds with tolerances down to sub-micron level, and complex geometries with feature sizes in the single-micron range and below.
We have extensive metrology capabilities throughout all manufacturing areas within the company, including various white-light interferometers, vision systems, CMMs and a CT Scanner, which enable us to measure critical dimensions to sub-micron and surface finishes to nanometre levels.
We also have 6x MicroPower 15 Micro Injection Moulding machines in a Class 7 Cleanroom for specialist micro moulding applications.

ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 certified, we specialise in DFM, design, manufacture and validation of ultra-precision medical moulds and micro moulds with technical and/or complex assemblies. We extrapolate our unique blend of experience and lessons learned from holding sub-micron tolerances and manufacturing sub-micron features in micro moulding to the manufacture of larger medical device moulds, providing long lasting, fast cycling, ultra-precise moulds in fully hardened steel.
When required, we can utilise additive manufacturing processes to manufacture inserts with cooling circuits that were previously impossible to produce with conventional machining techniques.
We adopt a fully-integrated approach to link all areas of the business and ensure the smooth operation which allows for potential issues to be identified and solved during the early stages of a project, thus ensuring all moulds are manufactured to the highest possible standards and we can provide efficient, full service solutions to our customers.
Micro Systems has a dedicated in-house mould testing, development and validation area which currently houses various all electric machines from 15T to 300T, with space for customer machines if required.
With world-leading process development and control, we empower our customers to receive the best possible components from the highest quality moulds.
We are a one stop shop for design, manufacturing, testing and development of ultra-precision injection moulds. We can also assist with pre-production of moulded parts and full injection moulding for production quantities of many millions of parts if required.
We specialise in medical devices, micro fluidics, micro moulding and ophthalmic (contact lenses and IOL). We have ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 accreditation.
